Fite Building Company started in 1974 with just one employee and a philosophy that doing the right thing is the right thing. Today, we’ve evolved into a major regional general contracting and construction management firm with more than 125 employees. Our “right thing” philosophy still governs all that we do. Across the board, we emphasize safety, staying on schedule and within budget and we strive to exceed customer expectations every day.

At Fite, we also believe that we are responsible to our employees and our suppliers in the same way. We encourage our people to expand their knowledge base and skill sets. Whenever possible, we promote from within and reward dedication to excellence in our team members. We feel strongly that as individuals and as a company that we should be active in the communities in which we live and work. Over the years we have been involved with the Decatur/Morgan County Chamber of Commerce, Christmas in April, Habitat for Humanity, King James Alternative School, Junior Achievement, and the Volunteer Center of Morgan County.
